Ayman Aidan Al-Shawi and Amer Awad Al-Shawi, were shot dead on October 19, 2022, by gunmen who we have so far been unable to identify in Bseira city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour Governorate, which is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights is still trying to reach witnesses to the incident to obtain more details.

We condemn all killings that target civilians, and we call on the controlling force to take responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their conrol, to investigate this incident and reveal the findings of this investigation to the public. We further emphasize that there will be no stability in Syria without a real political transition towards democracy carried out within a specific timetable.
