Rasha Naser al-Ali, born in 1973, form Homs city, an assistant professor at the Faculty of Arabic Language at Homs University’s Literature Department and a member of the Arab Writers Union – Critique Association, was abducted on January 20, 2025, by unidentified gunmen in Homs city on her way to work. She was then taken to an undisclosed location.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify her abductors as of this writing. We condemn all abductions and arbitrary arrests.
