On March 7, 2025, local residents found eight dead bodies bearing gunshot wounds inside a well on the al-Assali road in the vicinity of Sbina town in southern Rural Damascus governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for these deaths as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying the killers.
