The Syrian Network for Human Rights documented the killing...

Three children from Kafranbel city in southern rural Idlib governorate were killed on March 7, 2025, by the explosion of a landmine of unidentified source on agricultural land in al-Harsh area near Kafranbel city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
SNHR calls on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas and identify the locations of landmines and remove them. We have recorded hundreds of deaths and injuries from landmine explosions. Landmines pose a serious threat to civilians’ lives for years to come in these areas, particularly children.
