On February 19, 2025, the body of a man, identified as Suleiman Hattab from al-Heffa city in rural Latakia governorate who worked as a guard for al-Heffa National Hospital, was found bearing gunshot wounds by local residents in his agricultural land near Kafrayya village in northern rural Latakia governorate. The area is under the control of the current translation authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Suleiman’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
