A man, identified as Hamza Ibrahim al-Qadri from Izra city in northern rural Daraa governorate, was shot dead on February 20, 2025, by unidentified gunmen in Izra city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Hamza is a civilian who had never been involved with any military formation.
SNHR is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
