On February 1, 2025, a drone, believed to be operated by Turkish forces, bombed a house in Ashma village in the rural areas of Ein al-Arab city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, injuring 11 civilians, including seven children and two women to varying degrees. The area targeted is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Turkish forces have violated international humanitarian law by injuring civilians through this indiscriminate or deliberate bombardment, as they have failed to distinguish between civilians and fighters.
