On February 3, 2025, A man, identified as Abdul Rahman al-Sheoukhi from Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was shot and killed, while another named Khaled Hijazi from the same city, was shot and injured, by unidentified gunmen from a passing motorbike in al-Taba neighborhood in the center of Manbij city. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas, investigate this incident, and make the findings available to the public.
