On February 3, 2025, the dead body of Alaa Hamza Ibrahim from Homs city’s al-Muhajrin neighborhood who worked at a taxi driver, was found bearing gunshot wounds by local residents near Tal al-Naser Cemetery on the eastern outskirts of Homs city. Alaa’s dead body was found two days after he had gone missing. He was last seen leaving his house in al-Muhajrin neighborhood. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Alaa’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
