Bushra Adib Kanjo, a girl born in 2007, from Halnaj village of Ein al Arab city in Aleppo governorate eastern suburbs, was abducted by personnel from the the Syrian Democratic Forces-affiliated Revolutionary Youth (Joanne Schurchkar) group for military conscription on September 24, 2022. She was abducted while she was attending a Kurdish-language course at an institution in Ein al Arab city, and taken to a recruitment center.

SNHR notes that the girl’s parents have not been informed of her whereabouts, and she hasn’t been allowed to contact her family, who are also forbidden from visiting her. We fear she may be forced to participate directly or indirectly in military operations, and confirm that around 213 children are still conscripted in Syrian Democratic Forces camps.
