The body of a 32-year-old civilian, Badr Hussein al Elyan from al Dwair village east of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was found by residents in the desert area around al Jerthi village east of Deir Ez-Zour governorate on April 25, 2022, bearing gunshot wounds.
The area is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces, SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for his death. Although the controlling forces in the area bear responsibility for revealing the party responsible for the killing, these forces haven’t launched any investigation, which indicates they may be involved in this murder and similar incidents.
