On December 24, 2024, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a car by unidentified parties was detonated in front of the former Recruitment Building in al-Tajnid Street in Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. The bombing killed two local men, identified as Mohammad Jumaa al-Hawwar and Bashar Shukri al-Saleh, and injured eight others. In addition, a number of cars were damaged. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
