A 15-year-old girl named as Fariza Jundi Ebou, from Kouran village which is administratively a part of Ein Arb city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, was abducted for conscription by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel in the village on December 17, 2021, and taken to a military training camp.
SNHR notes that no member of the girl’s family was informed of her abduction and that she has been prevented from contacting her family, who are not allowed to visit her. SNHR fears that she will be forced to engage directly and indirectly in military operations, and confirms that around 156 children are still detained for forced conscription in the SDF’s camps.
