A child from Um al Khalakhil village in the suburbs of Idlib governorate, named as Samer Ayman al Khalil, was killed on December 4, 2020, when a munition left over from previous shelling of  unknown origin exploded as he played with the deadly weapon, while  he was in Halab Lebbayah IDP Camp in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate.

Such munitions will continue to constitute a real threat to people. SNHR has issued a number of reports on cluster munitions and the remnants of other weapons, in which we urged the provision of special equipment to help civilians in removing these explosive remnants.
