A man from al Boulayl village in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, named as Ahmad Saeed al Hamad, was reported as being lost on September 21, 2020, near al Bseira city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate. On September 23, 2020, local families discovered his body in the badiya (desert area) around al Sabha village in the eastern suburbs of the governorate bearing gunshot wounds. The area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. SNHR has been unable to identify the party responsible for the man’s death up to the time of writing. Although the controlling forces bear responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
