A six-month-old infant, named as Maher Muhammad Farid al Shayban, displaced with his family from Ma’aret Harma village in south of Idlib governorate, died on December 29, 2021, in a fire that broke out due to the explosion of a heater in the tent where his family’s been living in a random IDP camp in west of Ma’aret Misreen town in the northern suburbs of the governorate, with the blaze completely destroying the tent.
