A man, named as Aahed Abu Aoun, died when he was shot in the head on July 27, 2021, when Syrian regime forces opened fire in the Daraa al Balad area of Daraa city.
SNHR notes that the Daraa al Balad area is witnessing a displacement of some families towards safer areas in Daraa city due to the military escalation by Syrian regime forces there.
SNHR further notes that these forces have committed a violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
