The body of a man from Raqqa governorate, named as Abboud Eisa Sari al Jalad, was discovered by local families in the Badiya (desert area) of Slouk town in the governorate’s northern suburbs on April 22, 2021, bearing signs of gunshot wounds.

Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the civilian’s killing, the area is controlled by the Syrian National Army. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
