A boy was shot and injured on March 18, 2025, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) personnel during clashes between the group and unidentified gunmen in Theyban town in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate. The area is under the control of the SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that SDF has violated international human rights law by targeting civilians. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
