Engineer Ahmad Abdul Rahman Tou’ma, from al-Jdeida al-Sharqiya village in eastern rural Homs governorate, who worked at the Public Water Institution, was shot dead on March 15, 2025, by unidentified gunmen in al-Jdeida al-Sharqiya village. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas, investigate this incident, and make the findings available to the public.
