On February 28, 2025, unidentified gunmen raided a house in al-Sheikh Saeed neighborhood in Aleppo city and killed a local man, identified as Khaled Akkou, alongside his two sons Ahmad and Anas. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
