On February 27, 2025, the dead bodies of two men, identified as Ammar al-Mir Ali and Hussein al-Abdullah both from Kafr al-Ja’ village in al-Qadmous district in rural Tartus governorate, were found bearing signs indicating they were slaughtering with a knife in al-Sha’ra village in rural Tartus governorate. The two had gone missing in their home village one day before their dead bodies were found. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Ammar’s and Hussein’s deaths as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying their killers.
