On January 2, 2025, A man, identified as Ali Yousef al-Kibi from Tartus city, was shot and killed, while another named Ali Sqour was shot and injured, by unidentified gunmen in Shalehat al-Ahlam area in Tartus city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
