A man, identified as Yousef Saleh from al-Khreiba village, administratively a part of Banyas district in rural Tartus governorate, was shot dead on January 2, 2025, by unidentified gunmen at the entrance of al-Khreiba village. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
