A man, identified as Ali Mahla from al-Qerdaha city in rural Latakia governorate, was shot dead on January 7, 2025, by unidentified gunmen while driving his car on the international highway between the two cities of al-Qerdaha and Jabla in rural Latakia governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
