A boy, identified as 13-year-old Wesam Ref’at Abdul Razzaq from Teeb al-Fal village in northern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on November 25, 2024, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) patrolmen who shot him directly while he was driving a motorbike in his home village. The personnel then tried to take him to a hospital in rural Deir Ez-Zour, but he had died by the time they arrived at the hospital. The area is under the control of the SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that SDF has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
