A man, identified as Zaher Khalaf al-Ijail from Adman al-Dbais village in northwestern Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on November 24, 2024, by a Syrian National Army (SNA) patrol in Ras al-Ein city in northwestern Hasaka governorate as he was attempting to cross irregularly into Türkiye. The area is under the control of the SNA.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that the SNA has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
