On March 20, 2024, the body of a man bearing deep cuts to his throat, who was identified as 20-year-old Ali Abdullah Al al-Zahwa from al-Boukamal city in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was found by local residents in al-Bweidran village in al-Sousa town, also in eastern Deir Ez-Zour governorate.
