On June 11, 2023, the dead body of a four-year-old child, identified as Mohammad Khadr al-Sultan from Slouk town in the northern suburbs of Raqqa governorate, was found by local residents near al-Khraba Cemetery in the town, a few hours after he went missing under mysterious circumstances.

The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA). The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify Mohammad’s killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility to identify his killers.
