Ahmad Darbuok, an internally displaced person (IDP) from al-Sahhara village in western Aleppo governorate, who worked with the Maram Foundation for Relief and Development, died along with his wife on December 7, 2022, with both being overcome by suffocation as they were sleepingas they slept in their place of residence (a prefabricated-constructed single-room unitroom) in the Ihtmeylat Camp near Izaz city in the western suburbs of Aleppo governorate, due to usingtheir use of harmfulnon-healthy materials for heating.
