An employee at the civil court of the Syrian Democratic Forces in al Kasra city in western Deir Ez-Zour governorate, Abdullah Muhammad al Hamada from al Joura neighborhood in Deir Ez-Zour city, was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen on August 30, 2022 when he was in Hammar al Ali village in Deir Ez-Zour governorate western suburbs, which is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. SNHR is still trying to reach eyewitnesses to obtain more details of the incident.

SNHR condemns all killings of civilians and calls on controlling forces to assume their responsibility for protecting the civilian population in areas under their control and to launch an investigation into this incident and reveal its conclusions to the public.

There will be no stability in Syria without a genuine political process moving towards democracy, implemented according to a set timetable.
