The child Faisal Fahd al Jamil, from Manbej city east of Aleppo governorate, born in 2007, was abducted by the Syrian Democratic Forces affiliated Revolutionary Youth (Joanne Schurchkar) personnel, from his workplace -a car mechanic workshop- in the center of Manbej city for conscription on August 9, 2022. He was taken to a farm west of the city ahead of transferring him to a recruitment center.
SNHR notes that the boys’s parents have not been informed of her whereabouts, and he hasn’t been allowed to contact his family, who are also forbidden from visiting him. We fear he may be forced to participate directly or indirectly in military operations, and confirm that around 197 children are still conscripted in Syrian Democratic Forces recruitment camps.
