A fire broke out at Washokani Camp for IDPs west of Hasaka city on August 7, 2022. The fire, which was caused by a short circuit, led to the death of two children (siblings) Abdul Razzaq (age 5), and Adnan Mahmoud Hussein (age 6). Seven tents were also burnt down.
