A windstorm hit the north of Idlib governorate on August 7, 2022, leading to the collapse and destruction of several tents for IDPs in several camps, most notably: Jabal al Sheikh Camp, which is part of al Sheikh Bahr Camp west of Idlib city. The storm damaged 18 tents in the camp, which subjected the IDPs to more suffering.

SNHR calls on international relief organizations to urgently satisfy the needs of IDPs camps and calls on them to supply the camps’ administrations with emergency tents.

At this moment, we renew our condemnation of the arbitrary Russian veto to prevent cross-border humanitarian aid supplies from coming through Bab al Salama Crossing on the Turkish-Syrian borders, which obstructed the delivery of humanitarian aid.
