Two children, siblings, age 7 and 8, Abdullah and Omar Asaad al Abdullah, from Oun al Dadat village of Manbej city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, were killed due to the explosion of a landmine planted by unknown parties in the vicinity of the village on June 5, 2022.

The area is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

We demand the controlling force to bear the responsibility of protecting civilians in its areas, and to discover and remove the locations of mines planted there.

We have recorded hundreds of deaths and injuries as a result of mine explosions; What constitutes a major threat to the population over subsequent years in those areas, especially to children.
