The body of Ibrahim Ahmad Thiab, born in 1996, from al Zamaniya village east of Damascus suburbs, and a resident of al Msaifra town east of Daraa governorate, was found by residents near al Jeiza town in the eastern suburbs of Daraa governorate on June 6, 2022. His body bore visible gunshot wounds.
The region is under the control of the Syrian regime forces, and so far, SNHR has been unable to identify the party responsible for his murder. While the controlling forces are responsible for identifying the perpetrators, they have yet to open an investigation into this killing, which raises questions about their involvement in this incident and other similar incidents.
