Many people were killed or wounded in a volley of missile strikes on al Bab city in Aleppo governorate eastern suburbs on February 2, 2022. SNHR is so far unable to identify the responsible party, but we believe the perpetrators to be either Syrian regime forces or Syrian Democratic Forces as the attack originated from an area under their control, with investigations underway to identify the responsible party.
The missiles hit several areas in the center of al Bab city killing at least eight civilians and wounding 20 others, with one of the missiles hitting a busy local market in the city. The attack also caused massive material damage in the targeted locations.
