On April 4, 2024, four civilians; identified as Khaled Ahmad al-Fayyad, Mahmoud Ahmad al-Fayyad, Hassan Hussein al-Fayyad, and Ja’far Mohammad al-Fayyad all from Zour al-Sus village in southern rural Hama governorate, were injured by the explosion of a war remnant of unidentified source in Zour al-Sus village. The war remnant exploded after they took it to the tent in which they live and started tampering with it. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that war remnants continue to pose a serious threat to civilians’ lives.
