A man, identified as Hassaan Mohammad Sharif al-Zu’bi from Izra city in northern rural Daraa governorate who was the General-Secretary of the Party Squad in Izra city, was shot dead on March 20, 2025, by unidentified gunmen in Izra city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
