A woman, identified as Khadija Razouqi, was shot dead on February 17, 2025, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) personnel when she was on the bank of the Euphrates River in Mahkan town opposite to the shooting personnel who were in Theyban town in eastern Deir Ez-Zour governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that SDF has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
