A man, identified as Ghsoub Munif Jawhar from Idlib governorate, was shot dead on February 10, 2025, by unidentified gunmen from a passing motorbike when he was inside a shop in Latakia city’s al-Amirkan neighborhood. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
