A boy, identified as 11-year-old Salah Ayyoub al-Abboud al-Nazzal from al-Sha’fa village in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot and killed on January 30, 2025, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) at al-Baghouz river crossing in eastern Deir Ez-Zour governorate. The area is under the control of SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that SDF has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
