A man, identified as Yousef Mohammad Ibrahim al-Ghanem from al-Ibrahim village to the south of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was killed on January 29, 2025, by the explosion of a landmine of unidentified source while disarming landmines in the vicinity of al-Ibrahim village. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We have recorded hundreds of deaths and injuries from landmine explosions. Landmines pose a serious threat to civilians’ lives for years to come in these areas, particularly children.
