On January 25, 2025, the body of a man, identified as Mustafa Sabbagh from Aleppo city, was found bearing gunshot wounds by local residents in Aleppo city’s Karam al-Nuzha neighborhood. Mustafa had been abducted from Aleppo city’s Saif al-Dawla neighborhood one day before his dead body was found. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Mustafa’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
