A boy, identified as Jad al-Saleh from al-Shaddadi city in southern rural Hasaka governorate, was killed on January 17, 2025, by gunfire of unidentified source while in his house in Hasaka city. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who was responsible for Jad’s death. The controlling forces must uphold responsibility in identifying his killers.
