On December 31, 2024, a car bomb of an unidentified source was detonated inside a main market in Tal Ref’at city in northern rural Aleppo governorate. Six civilians, including one child, were injured in the bombing. In addition, a number of shops and houses were heavily damaged, as well as a number of cars. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
SNHR condemns all bombings targeting civilians and vital facilities. We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians in their areas, to investigate this incident, and to make the findings of the investigation known to the public.
