On December 31, 2024, a man, identified as Ahmad Tawfiq al-Msietif from Shash al-Bubna to the southeast of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was killed, while another, identified as Mahmoud Jumaa al-Ahmad, was injured by the explosion of a landmine of unidentified source that exploded under their car on the main road in Shash al-Bubna village.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We have recorded hundreds of deaths and injuries from landmine explosions. Landmines pose a serious threat to civilians’ lives for years to come in these areas, particularly children.
