A man, identified as 55-year-old Bayan Hussein al-Nemer from Suwayda city, was shot dead on December 26, 2024, by unidentified gunmen near al-Hal Market in Suwayda city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Bayan is a civilian who has never been involved with any military formation.
SNHR still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
