On December 5, 2024, an armed opposition/Syrian National Army (SNA) artillery detachment fired multiple shells at al-Bogaz village to the west of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. The attack killed two local siblings, identified as 20-year-old Ahmad and 23-year-old Zahra Ali Jaban. The area targeted is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

All armed opposition factions/SNA has also violated the rules of international humanitarian law on distinguishing between civilians and members, which only aims to spread panic among civilians.
