On December 2, 2024, the body of a woman, identified as 40-year-old Amina Hanan Shitou from Kamrouk village in the rural areas of Afrin city in northwestern Aleppo governorate, was found bearing with decapitation signs on her neck by locals in her house in Tal Ref’at city in northern Aleppo governorate. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify Amina’s killers as of this writing, with the controlling forces bearing responsibility for identifying her killers.
